- (Committee "A") Stop Sec. 203k in the H.R.
3837 Bill, however, do support sections mandating banks and mortgage
companies pay for our appraisal work.
- (Committee "B") Start filing Cease &
Desist orders for lenders who refuse to take your appraisals.
- (Committee "C") Start to file a class action
lawsuit with lenders that have denied appraisers approval for agency
relationships, and seek collective damages for lost revenues.
- (Committee "D") Stop Bank owned management
companies from collecting appraisal fees and remitting small portions of
the fee to appraisers, and demand that appraisers collect the fees directly
(THE ENTIRE FEE).
- (Committee "E") Stop pushing appraisers to
complete appraisals within 24 hours. A GOOD job cannot be done in a day!
- (Committee "G") Start turning in bad
appraisal reports to the authorities of appraisers who "make the
number" when honest appraisers are being blacklisted.
- (Committee "H") Start mandating that all appraisals contracted for, the fee be paid in advance.
- (Committee "I") Start demanding a Congressional investigation of the Appraisal Institute,
it's membership and it's practices.
- (Committee "K") Start requiring
State Appraisal Boards who go after appraisers on ruthless "witch hunts" to be
liable for unjust, and unwarranted attacks.
Please submit any and
all written evidence/correspondence to info@appraisalunion.org if you have been denied approval by a lender and lost business
through a mortgage agency relationship due to such
denials.
This is an illegal
restraint of trade, so if you or your mortgage broker agent and or thier client
have been damaged we are seeking to build a databank of evidence to enforce
Ceast and Desist orders, and to begin preperation for a class action
lawsuit.
